Data we store

Your Strava athlete id and OAuth tokens (encrypted at rest), the email address you give us at registration, your bikes and a running mileage per part, and your recent rides (date, distance, and duration). Raw activity rows are pruned automatically after a short retention window. We never receive or store your Strava password.

Strava permissions we request

We request read access to your profile and to your activities — specifically the scopes read, profile:read_all, and activity:read_all — so we can attribute every ride to the correct bike and tally component wear. We only read from Strava; we never post anything to Strava on your behalf.

Email audit log

When we send you a maintenance reminder we keep an audit record (the recipient email address and the body of the message that was sent) so we can diagnose delivery problems and prove what was sent. This record is retained as part of our sent-mail log.

Retention

Bike, part, and mileage data is kept for as long as your account is active. Raw ride activities are pruned automatically after the retention window. The email audit log is retained for operational and support purposes. Everything is deleted when you delete your account.

How we use your data

We use your data only to compute component mileage and to send you the maintenance reminders you signed up for. We do not sell or share your data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

Stopping reminder emails

The unsubscribe link in any reminder email — including your mail client's own unsubscribe button — stops the reminders and nothing else. Your account, bikes, mileage, and maintenance history are kept.

Deleting your data

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time using the Unsubscribe link in the footer while logged in, which asks you to confirm first. Deletion cascades to your bikes, parts, mileage, and stored rides.

Maintenance receipts

When you record a replacement, we can show you a receipt: a small image with the part, the miles it covered, and when the next one is due. It is optional, and it is generated in your browser.

We do not post it anywhere. We do not host it at a public address, and we do not send it to anyone. If you save or share it, you are the one sharing it, and you choose where it goes.

The image deliberately leaves out your name, your photo, your bike or shoe name, your ride and run history, and the date. It carries the part, the distance, our name, and a link back to us.

You can turn receipts off on your profile at any time. Turning them off changes nothing else: we keep tracking your mileage, we keep emailing you when something is due, and your maintenance history stays as it was. Deleting your account removes the setting along with everything else we hold for you.

We record how often receipts are shown, saved, shared and dismissed, so we can tell whether the feature is worth keeping. Those records identify your account by a random identifier of our own, they never include your mileage or any of your activity data, and they are deleted when you delete your account.
