Running shoe mileage, tracked by pair
A rotation should not require a second running log. Pedal Wrencher matches the runs you record in Strava to each pair of shoes, keeps a separate mileage total for every pair, and emails you when a pair reaches its replacement interval.

Every pair keeps its own total
Pedal Wrencher creates a tracker for every newly seen pair of running shoes, with a starting interval of 350 miles. Change the interval, enter the miles already on a pair, enable or pause its reminder, and record the replacement from your profile.
The interval is a reminder setting, not a verdict on cushioning, injury risk, or whether a shoe is safe. Choose it for the pair and your own use.
Connect the rotation
- Connect with Strava. OAuth supplies identity and the access needed to reconcile shoes and runs.
- Add your email after connecting. Strava does not return it, and Pedal Wrencher uses it for reminder delivery.
- Review each imported pair and its interval. A bounded first sync attempts to populate the initial profile; if it cannot run, connection still succeeds and the scheduled worker can catch up later.
Rotate shoes without merging their miles
As new runs arrive, Pedal Wrencher attributes each run to its Strava shoe and updates that pair's total. When you retire or replace a pair, mark it from the profile or add the complete #pwshoes tag to a Strava activity title; the next sync records the replacement and resets the wear baseline.
Your rotation stays separated pair by pair. Distance is stored in miles and shown in your preferred units.
Frequently asked questions
What access does connection grant?+
Pedal Wrencher uses Strava identity, gear, and activity data to reconcile shoes, attribute runs, and count mileage by pair. Raw activity rows are pruned by age; accumulated shoe totals and maintenance history remain so tracking can continue. Read the full privacy policy before connecting.
Why do I enter an email after Strava?+
Strava does not provide an email address through this connection. The separate registration step collects the address Pedal Wrencher uses for reminders.
Can I stop reminders or delete the account?+
Yes. The email opt-out retains your account and tracked history; confirmed account deletion removes the account and its cascading owned data.
Give every pair a mileage log
