Bike maintenance tracker

Bike maintenance mileage, tracked from your rides

Your chain does not wear on a calendar. Pedal Wrencher matches the rides you record in Strava to your bikes, counts mileage on each tracked part, and emails you when that part reaches the service interval you set.

Already estimating chain life? Use the bike chain life calculator, then let the tracker keep counting after today.

One bike is several maintenance clocks

Each newly seen bike starts with separate reminders for Chain, Cables, Bar Tape, and Brake Pads. On your profile, change each interval, enter current wear, turn a reminder on or off, or add another component with its own schedule.

This is mileage bookkeeping, not a safety inspection. Pedal Wrencher counts what you ride and reminds at the interval you choose; it does not inspect a chain, pad, cable, or tyre.

Set it up once

  1. Connect with Strava. OAuth supplies identity and the access needed to reconcile bikes and rides.
  2. Add your email after connecting. Strava does not return it, and Pedal Wrencher uses it for reminder delivery.
  3. Review each bike and its part intervals. A bounded first sync attempts to put real mileage on the initial profile; if that sync cannot run, connection still succeeds and the scheduled worker can catch up later.

Keep riding; update the maintenance moment

Pedal Wrencher keeps matching new rides to their bikes and adding mileage to each part's wear. When you replace something, mark it on your profile or put its complete tag, such as #pwchain, in a Strava activity title; the next sync resets that part's wear baseline.

You can tune intervals and current wear whenever the real bike disagrees with the starting setup. Distance is stored in miles and shown in your preferred units.

Frequently asked questions

What access does connection grant?+

Pedal Wrencher uses Strava identity, gear, and activity data to reconcile bikes, attribute rides, and count component mileage. Raw activity rows are pruned by age; accumulated gear totals and maintenance history remain so tracking can continue. Read the full privacy policy before connecting.

Why do I enter an email after Strava?+

Strava does not provide an email address through this connection. The separate registration step collects the address Pedal Wrencher uses for reminders.

Can I stop reminders or delete the account?+

Yes. The email opt-out retains your account and tracked history; confirmed account deletion removes the account and its cascading owned data.
